The Kaimana Wedding

Once upon a time, in the world of Uno games and Skype calls, our love story unfolded.

 

We met through an online game when we were about 13 years old, and we managed to stay in touch throughout the years. It wasn't until about age 18 that we became really good friends. You could often find us just talking and playing games together, and Uno was one of our favorites. One night, we were playing a couple rounds of Uno, and Andrew just couldn't seem to win (poor thing). But the third round of Uno, he finally did.

 

Now, we have a tradition where we write our name on the card that we won the game with, and sometimes we'll write something like "Ha, I beat you!" just to rub it in a little more. But this time, Andrew didn't write his name; he wrote out "Will you be my girlfriend?" on a blue number 5 Uno card (that I still keep in my wallet). And that's how it started.

 

We spent about a year being long distance before he moved to Florida. And 6 years after that, he asked me to marry him (to which he tells me I took at least a minute to reply because I was too busy being excited). But could you blame me? I waited for 7 years!
